U-Turn introduces the OXIGEN II to the market, the ultimate freerider, promising unlimited fun for all kiting activities; in a buggy, on a board, or on foot - on snow, sand or grass - for racing, simply cruising or for freestyle – this intermediate offers extra performance at higher stability, yet is almost as easy to handle as a beginners kite.
In comparison to the original model, the U-Turn OXIGEN II is a comprehensive and advanced development. Design chief Ernst Strobl has optimised the profile for higher performance. The canopy now has five more cells and this new total of 26 gives incomparable stability. The new innovative materials used for the upper and lower wing material the bridle made of Liros lines give a significant weight saving. The Dirt-outs that enable the removal of sand during flight as well as the Velcro(TM) band for fixing the bridle are features retained from the original Oxigen.
The result: A High-End Intermediate Kite which is very near to race kite performance but nevertheless has easy handling and a very forgiving behaviour.
For a Kite of this category the U-Turn OXIGEN II gives considerable performance, with the pulling power of the OXYGEN II even difficult terrain like areas of mud or very soft sand or snow are not insurmountable.
The Kite is so stable and easy to handle that it can be flown comfortably and it is not necessary to be always on the alert to correct the kite – the OXYGEN II stays up in the air even when the pilot makes an occasional mistake.
The large useable wind range allows the kiter all possibilities: one can cruise easily but also blast ambitiously around the racecourse. The U-Turn OXIGEN II puts enormous pull and power onto the upwind course in comparison to other intermediates, and sideways pull is at a minimum. Because of this the manoeuvre is easy to do even for beginners.
The optional Speed/Power-System (SPS) is easily fitted for use with the Speed/Power bar and allows for an even larger useable wind range and control of flying speed. Along with the optimised range of sizes, it is no problem to find the perfect U-Turn OXYGEN II for all wind conditions.
